ACEs, PACEs and Addiction Summit 2023

As part of the Prevention and Education Subcommittee of the Columbus and Franklin County Addiction Plan (CFCAP), Franklin County Public Health and community partners are hosting the second ACEs, PACEs and Addiction Summit and would like you to come!

What is the ACEs, PACEs and Addiction Summit?

Research on adverse childhood events (ACEs) has shown that early trauma can lead to poor life choices and health outcomes in adolescence and adulthood, including the development of substance use disorder, perpetuating cycles of trauma and addiction. As a group of community partners we strive to understand, address and alleviate not only the health outcomes that present in adolescence and adulthood but also the root causes. The ACEs, PACEs and Addiction Summit is a FREE opportunity for individuals to come together and explore the influence of ACEs on the development of addiction, as well as protective and compensatory experiences (PACEs) that can reduce the effects of childhood trauma in children and adults.

When is the summit?

The ACEs, PACEs and Addiction Summit will take place on July 24th from 9:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
