IT'S ALL ABOUT HEALTH

Public health in Franklin County, across the state and across the nation is redefining itself to focus on core capabilities and services while remaining committed to our strong roots of a clear mission, vision and values. We strive to prevent disease by administering evidence-based public health services. We engage our partners across the public health system related to data, planning and policy efforts. We plan for and respond to potential risks across our communities. We continue to rethink how to be more effective and efficient with our resources. So we invite you to learn more about our accomplishments in 2016 and partner with us as we move forward in 2017 to serve our communities and residents.

PREVENT

Prevention is one of the most effective ways to keep our residents healthy and improve their quality of life. Everyone wins when we can prevent disease rather than treating people after the fact. Prevention helps health care costs go down, our local neighborhoods are healthier and provide more economic opportunity, and people live longer, healthier, happier lives.
